Terms of Sale! |
 |
|
Visits to our home
are made by appointment only. We ask that you do not
visit any other cattery or dog kennel on the same day
prior to seeing us. Kittens are available for visitation
after they have received one vaccination (about 8 weeks
old). They go to their new homes when they are about 12
weeks old, after they have been spayed or neutered. A
non-refundable $100 deposit is required to hold a pet
kitten. For a breeder, the deposit is $250. |
|
Many people ask if I
will contact them when kittens are born. I try to
accommodate, but this is almost impossible for me to do.
Time is limited and there are a lot of people that phone
me. Also, I generally have several deposits already in
place when a litter is born so usually all of the
kittens are already placed. A deposit lets me know that
someone is really serious about purchasing a kitten. I
do not deposit checks until after the kittens are born
and a particular kitten is picked out. Your check is
then cashed and becomes non-refundable after that point. |
|
Note: Before sending
us a deposit for a kitten, we will provide you a copy of
our contract. We ask that you read and sign it, then
return it to us along with your deposit check or money
order. |
|
Guarantee: All
kittens are sold with a written two-year genetic health
guarantee that starts at their birth. We guarantee
against lethal genetic or congenital defects. If the
Kitten/Cat should die or have to be destroyed due to a
genetic or congenital defect before it is 2 years old,
Breeder will replace the Kitten/Cat, upon being provided
an autopsy report. The autopsy report must be from a
licensed veterinary pathologist stating unquestionably
that the death was due to a genetic or congenital
defect. Breeder is not obligated to replace the exact
color or pattern, although the Breeder will try. There
will be no cash refunds and Breeder will not be
responsible for any shipping costs. We prohibit
de-clawing and if this is done, any and all guarantees
are voided, and we will refuse to sell any other kittens
to anyone who has done this. |
|
The Buyer should
take the kitten to their own veterinarian within the
first 3 days of sale if they are in any way concerned
about the kitten's health. Failure to do this will
substantiate that you feel your kitten has no health
issues. Within this 3-day time frame you have a money
back guarantee should your veterinarian say that you do
not have a healthy kitten. If this were to happen,
unlikely as it is, Buyer must return kitten to the
Breeder and be responsible for the cost of the
transport. |
|
Note: New kittens
may show signs of stress including, but not limited to,
sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea and or
constipation. Prior to taking them to a veterinarian
give them a few days to settle in. These things usually
clear up without any medicines. |
|
Spay/Neuter: My
Veterinarian will do this prior to us letting the kitten
go to its new home. This applies only to pet quality
kittens and does not apply if a kitten is sold as a
breeder. If a breeder wants one of our kittens, he/she
must be a reputable and registered breeder. We do have
contracts on some of our breeding stock and prior to
selling breeding kittens we must get prior written
authorization. |
|
Registration: Our
kittens are registered with TICA and we show our cats
with this organization. It is our goal is to produce the
large healthy Ragdolls that the standard calls for.
There is no better way to determine if a cat meets the
standard than to present it for the professional
scrutiny of the show judge. |
|
Health: All our cats
and kittens are veterinarian checked and are healthy
when they leave us. Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and
feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) are two important
contagious viral organisms that infect cats. They affect
the immune system and can cause increased susceptibility
to many diseases and cancers (especially lymphoma). FeLV
infection is also associated with bone marrow disorders
and reproductive disorders. Our cats and kittens are
negative for these viruses! |
|
When you adopt a
kitty from us you receive all health records. Kittens
will have had their first and second FVRCP vaccination
shots. If de-worming is needed, that will have been done
before leaving our home. All future vaccinations are the
responsibility of the new owner. Buyer must not
inoculate for FIP, as this will void any guarantee or
health warranty. |
|
Our adults do not have HCM in their pedigrees, nor have
they produced any kittens with this disease. HCM or
Feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a disease
affecting cats in which the walls of the heart become
increasingly enlarged. Research is underway and we all
hope the responsible gene or genes for each affected
breed will be found in the near future. In the meantime,
all we can do is test our cats and know their pedigrees.
Since it is a hereditary disease ethical breeders will
not breed cats that carry this genetic material. |

FOOD AND LITTER BOX: |
|
Our kittens are
weaned to dry food and are litter box trained when they
leave us. You will be given food that the kitten has
been raised on to blend in with the brand you choose to
feed. We will also give you a sheet of instructions
pertaining to the care of your kitten. |

When you get a
kitten from us, all you have to do is take it home and
love it!!! |
